Description
Responsibilities:
Contract Management:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including drilling contracts, service agreements, purchase orders, and subcontractor agreements.
- Ensure contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Identify potential risks and propose appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor contract performance, track deliverables, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Manage contract changes, amendments, and extensions.
Vendor Management:
Evaluate and select vendors and subcontractors based on their qualifications, capabilities, and adherence to industry standards.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to optimize contract outcomes and foster collaborative partnerships.
Conduct periodic vendor performance evaluations and address any issues or disputes that may arise.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination with vendors.
Negotiation and Dispute Resolution:
Negotiate contract terms and conditions, pricing, and payment terms with vendors and subcontractors.
Resolve contract-related disputes and claims in a timely and effective manner.
Collaborate with legal counsel to manage complex legal issues and ensure contract compliance.
Facilitate contract closeout and ensure proper documentation of all contractual activities.
Contract Administration and Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records, including contract files, amendments, correspondence, and related documentation.
Develop and implement contract management processes and systems to streamline contract administration.
Monitor contract performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and propose process enhancements.
Provide timely and accurate reports on contract status, risks, and key performance indicators to management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, Law, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in contract management are desirable.
- Proven experience in contract management within the oil and gas industry.
- Indepth knowledge of oil and gas contracts, industry practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong understanding of contract law principles and legal terminology.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Detailoriented with strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Proficiency in contract management software and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
