The NP functions in an interdependent role by implementing the appropriate Standardized Procedures (SPs).
By using the SPs the NP is able to change treatment regimen after observing signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to treatment, general behavior and physical condition and determines if they are abnormal findings (Ca Nursing Practice Act, subsection(b) of Section The NP will provide and coordinate the care of patients, provide patient/family education, promote safe continuity of care.
The NP also participates in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds, provides education and support, as well as makes appropriate referrals and documents services rendered.
This a limited - month appointment- a limited appointment may convert to career.
Qualifications:
- MSN or DNP with Adult Gerontology Acute Care nurse practitioner certification required.
- State of CA RN and NP certification required.
- State of CA NP Furnishing with Schedule II required.
- National NP Board certification in Adult Gerontology Acute Care nurse practitioner specialty required.
- NPI required.
- DEA certification required.
- Enrollment in PECOS
- Enrollment on CURES required.
- Previous inpatient nurse practitioner experience
- HIGHLY recommended (will consider a New Grad NP only if they have specific recent and relevant experience on a Liver Transplant Service)
- BLS and ACLS from AHA required.
- This a limited 6month appointment a limited appointment may convert to career
- NP1: less than 6 months exp : $76.51/hour
