Research Associate (m/f/d) - Energy System Modeling & Data Analysis


Your responsibilities:


  • Participation in the project "H2Global meets Africa"
  • Energy system modeling and analysis
  • Development of optimization models in Python (and other programming languages)
  • Data analysis using Python and workflow systems (Snakemake)
  • Maintenance of scripts and code review using GIT
  • Internal exchange with project partners and preparation and execution of workshops

Your profile:


  • Completed university degree in a Master's program (university of applied sciences or university) or a diploma program (university) in engineering, natural sciences, computer science, or a related field with a focus on energy supply and infrastructure
  • Experience in working on publicly funded research projects in the application and implementation phase is desirable
  • Motivation and enjoyment in networking with various interest groups
  • Programming experience with Python, R, or similar programming languages
  • Experience with workflow management systems and version control is desirable
  • Willingness to travel and attend conferences within the country
