    Day in the life of a Technical Product Manager at Crayon

    You'll be a critical part of our growing team, with the opportunity to make a huge impact on Crayon's success working closely with our CPO and customer operations team. Data and insights are the backbone of competitive intelligence, and this role will be challenging but rewarding. To be successful in this role, you'll need to have a deep understanding of APIs, rate limits, web scraping, and other data collection methods. Our talented engineering team needs a confident partner who can focus on the end user experience to deliver a data layer and unlock value for the rest of the customer-facing product teams. You will lead the charge in transforming our content acquisition strategy and innovative artificial intelligence capabilities. Product is never done, but there's always a balance to creating new exciting workflows or just bringing a smile to a users face for making their jobs easier day to day.

    Requirements

    What we're looking for:

  • 4+ years technical or data product management experience in rapidly growing B2B SaaS businesses.
  • Someone who can take an idea and break it down into high value iterations.
  • Strong communication skills when presenting roadmaps or upcoming release initiatives to stakeholders.
  • Established track record of shipping exceptional products with varied technical detail while keeping internal stakeholders in one-on-one and group situations informed in layman's terms.
  • Deep understanding of APIs, data schemas and analytics. SQL skills are a must have
  • Ability to solve problems creatively while juggling technical constraints and limitations with an existing product. Think of surgery on a walking living patient.

    Bonus skills to add to the team:

  • Hands-on experience with small, high-velocity B2B startup organizations.
  • Understanding of Productboard use for roadmap and customer feedback aggregation.
  • Self-motivated, able to be persuasive to drive shifts in product plans through data driven metrics

    This position is remote or if you're in the Boston area, hybrid office time is an option but not a requirement. Our product and engineering team does travel twice a year for kickoffs and team building events so you can get to know your peers.
