    POSITION SUMMARY:

    At Heritage Greens, the Dining Services Director is responsible for providing innovative, exciting and culturally diverse hospitality and culinary experiences for residents, families, associates and guests. As a member of the Community Management Team this director hires, leads and inspires an engaged team cooking and serving thoughtfully designed seasonal menus and cuisine across multiple dining venues, delivered with excellent service while maintaining cleanliness and safety. This director ensures responsible revenue growth and maintains expenditures within budget.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Create an enriching and memorable dining experience that diners look forward to at each meal.
    • Deliver high quality food & beverages, ambiance and exceptional service.
    • Manage and improve resident and family satisfaction and loyalty using a variety of listening and learning methods, process improvement, and the anticipation of and responsiveness to needs and concerns.
    • Conduct departmental planning and forecasting, and fluidly manage operations based on occupancy, financial targets and economic conditions.
    • Manage inventory control, functionality and preventative maintenance of all departmental assets.
    • Interview, hire, train, manage and retain highly effective associates and create a climate of associate engagement through coaching, mentoring, teambuilding, performance management, recognition and professional development. Identify and develop talent for future succession opportunities.
    • Forecast and schedule necessary levels of staffing to ensure resident satisfaction and operational efficiency, reviewing overtime and daily hours worked.
    • Drive process and continuous improvement.
    • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing a name tag when working.
    • Perform other related duties as required

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

    • Minimum 5 years related experience required, which includes professional culinary experience in established scratch cooking food production
    • Culinary Degree
    • Experience working in Senior Living a plus
    • Great Culinary Presentation experience
    • High-end Hospitality or Country Club experience a plus
    • Food and Beverage Manager experience

    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/CERTIFICATIONS:

    • A current Food Handlers Certificate required
