- Delivering Manufacturing Delivery Quality Operating System requirements for a Powertrain Subsystem
- Collaborating with the Product Development team to estimate facility & tooling costs, enhance quality, and minimize labor requirements.
- Using virtual tools to assess the feasibility of new model designs for high-volume manufacturing operations.
- Creating/maintaining process sheets and providing updated Cycle Line Layouts.
- Overseeing identification, resolution, and closure of Machining feasibility issues.
- Developing and adhering to a master schedule for designing, building, and implementing tools within your subsystem.
- Leading machining installation, startup, and commissioning at the manufacturing site. Additionally, supporting tooling assessments at vendor facilities.
- Leading the resolution of all launch product and tooling issues.
- Extracting key insights from New Model launches and integrating Prevent Reoccurrence Actions into future programs.
- Supporting Departmental initiatives related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Costs, People, Morale, Environment, and Innovation (SQDCPMEI).
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Product Development, Supplier Technical Assistance, Material Planning & Logistics, New Model Programs).
- Capacity to work effectively within a team environment
- Willingness to travel to support launch programs
- Proficient Project Management skills and a results-driven mentality
- Strong proficiency in computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to review 3D CAD designs (Teamcenter, VisMockup, CATIA, or equivalent)
- Understanding of PFMEA and principles for avoiding failure modes
- Excellent verbal & written communication and presentation abilities
- Capability to perform under pressure within time constraints
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in statistics (control charts, data collection, GD&T, etc.)
- Familiarity with Ford software systems: AVBOM, WERS, GSPAS/APT, Teamcenter, E2KS, AIM, CPARS
- Preferably, experience in Automotive Manufacturing Engineering
- Experience with automotive assembly or machining tooling, processes, and facilities is a bonus
- Experience in high-volume industrial machining systems
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or expected graduation in May 2023
- Engage early in the latest new vehicle and powertrain programs
- Dynamic and innovative problem-solving environment
- Witness the tangible results of your contributions in Ford's new vehicles and powertrains
- Willingness to travel extensively, including to assembly and component plants in the US, Canada, and/or Mexico is necessary
