    About the Position

    This is a new role for Community Corp. to ensure that our human resources department aligns with the strategic growth of the organization.

    As a leader of the senior management team, the Director of Talent and Culture is responsible for developing a strategic vision for the HR department, ensure compliance with California employment laws, manage the HR team and department functions, manage the retention program, manage the office environment and collaboration with the supervisory team to create a positive and inclusive work culture.

    This position will also lead the diversity, equity and inclusion initiative.

    About the Position

    This is a new role for Community Corp. to ensure that our human resources department aligns with the strategic growth of the organization.

    This position will also lead the diversity, equity and inclusion initiative.

    The Director of Talent and Culture has full supervisory responsibility for a 3 person human resources department.

    Our employees enjoy a 9/80 work schedule which provides every other Friday off.

    Compensation And Benefits

    The compensation for this position is $150,000 - $160,000 and is eligible for the following benefits:

    Medical insurance
    Dental and vision insurance
    403b retirement plan
    4 weeks of paid vacation in the first year of employment
    Paid holidays
    Paid sick leave
    Mileage reimbursement
    Every other Friday off
    Hybrid schedule available after completion of 90 days on-site.

    Essential Position Responsibilities

    Manage an effective human resources department that is approachable and knowledgeable.
    Review policies, procedures and practices to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organization from liability.

    Serve as an advisor to all supervisory employees to educate and train on human resources policies, procedures and performance management.

    Align strategic direction of human resources with the mission and vision of the organization.
    Responsible for meeting Strategic Plan goals for hiring and retention.
    Manage employee relations including resolving employee concerns, answering questions and conducting investigations.
    Strategic work to analyze and refine practices and policies to align with Community Corp. values and promote employee satisfaction.
    Develop a hiring strategy to identify and hire the best matched candidates for open positions.

    Develop and manage a best-practices onboarding process that builds respect, confidence and promotes employee retention and an offboarding process that preserves respect.

    Develop a company-wide morale program that allows for participation of all employees.
    Complete annual compensation survey and evaluation of employee compensation.
    Oversee and optimize performance evaluation process for all employees.
    Work with diversity consultant to develop diversity related goals and create an inclusive work environment.
    Oversight of the 1410 2nd Street office to ensure a pleasant, comfortable working environment for all employees.
    Full supervisory responsibility, development and training of the human resources team.
    Other responsibilities as assigned.

    Education And Experience

    10 years of experience in an executive level role with proven success developing and implementing human resources related programs.
    Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or equivalent work experience is required.
    Certification in human resources from an accredited institution preferred.

    Qualifications

    Extensive knowledge of California employment laws and the ability to interpret those laws.
    Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to think strategically.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to small groups.
    Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and employees.
    Experience coaching, supporting and guiding leaders within the company on a variety of employee relations issues.
    High level of confidentiality and discretion.
    Problem solving skills with the ability to effectively resolve conflict.
    Able to identity, develop and present metrics that are significant for company growth.
