Are seeking an **Associate Engineer** (**Engineer-In-Training-E.I.T.)** to work in our Meridian, ID and Twin Falls, ID offices (2 positions). J-U-B provides a variety of clients with transportation planning and engineering services and provides support to our other offices across five states. This position is part of our Transportation Services Group (TSG) which consists of approximately 55 full time transportation staff dedicated to supporting our surface transportation clients across the region. This position is a great opportunity to integrate with experienced professionals and develop the skills needed for a variety of civil engineering roles. Typical tasks and involvement include:

Plan, design and implement infrastructure designs for primarily transportation projects for local municipalities, DOTs, and counties.

Participate in all phases of project development, from planning into design and through construction.

Analyze engineering data, learn design criteria/standards, develop plans and specifications, and make sound decisions to solve challenges.

Collaborate with other staff including surveyors, planners, and engineers on projects.

EITs will partner with senior engineers and planners for the development of transportation projects for various private and public agency transportation projects.

EITs will partner with PEs to develop business and build relationships with clients, support the preparation of proposals and interviews for potential projects.

Interact with government agencies and other clients during project execution.

Attend public meetings, public forums, and open houses to discuss project details, answer questions from the public, as required.

Develop reports for drainage, roadway, structures, utilities, and many other aspects of transportation design.

This position is coached by a Professional Engineer with years of experience, allowing for a positive atmosphere with great mentoring and growth potential.

**Qualifications:**

Bachelors degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or equivalent is required.

Certification as Engineer-in-Training (passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam) required.

0-3 years of Transportation Engineering experience.

MicroStation (preferred) and/or AutoCAD experience is preferred.

Excellent communication and writing skills.

**Salary Range: $61,500 $74,000/**Determined by experience and education.
