Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify potential opportunities within the federal government sector.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to penetrate the federal government market and achieve business growth objectives.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within federal government agencies, including decisionmakers and procurement officials.
  • Opportunity Identification: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including government contracts, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements with both partners (prime/sub) and government agencies, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including both product and consulting sales to support the successful delivery of cloud solutions to government clients.
  • Compliance: Stay current on all relevant regulations, policies, and standards related to government procurement and cloud computing.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and key performance metrics for senior management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess and improve business development strategies and processes to drive greater efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 810 years of work experience with a minimum of 5 years in business development or sales roles, focused on cloud technologies and the federal government sector.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong understanding of federal government procurement processes, including familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other relevant guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to identify market trends and opportunities.
  • Experience in developing and negotiating contracts and agreements with government agencies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of initiative and selfmotivation.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g.
, OCI Certified Specialist, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified:
Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
