We are looking for a Disney-like medical receptionist to join our team

at the Wagner Kapoor Institute in Norfolk, VA.


Responsibilities:


  • Greeting Patients and Visitors:
  • Welcome patients and visitors with genuine warmth and enthusiasm, embodying the
Disney spirit of hospitality from the moment they enter our practice.

  • Maintain a positive and cheerful demeanor, even during busy periods, to ensure
every interaction leaves a lasting impression of kindness and care.


Administrative Tasks:


  • Make daily patient appointment confirmation calls to ensure the smooth running of
the schedule and minimize no-shows.

  • Verify patient insurance information accurately and efficiently, assisting patients with
insurance-related inquiries and forms.

  • Schedule patient followup appointments and coordinate doctor referrals as needed,
ensuring continuity of care for our patients.

  • Check in office packages and distribute mail to administrative assistants promptly,
maintaining efficient office operations.

  • Update patient spreadsheet with new information and ensure accuracy of existing
data, supporting the smooth functioning of our administrative processes.

demonstrating excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Distribute electronic faxes officewide, ensuring timely delivery of important
documents and correspondence to relevant staff members.


Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in healthcare
administration or related field is a plus.

  • Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred, with a
passion for delivering exceptional service.

  • Proficiency in computer systems and electronic medical records, with the ability
to navigate software with ease.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a naturally friendly and
approachable demeanor.

  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail, coupled with the ability to
thrive in a fast-paced environment.
