    Univ Assessment Specialist

    Requisition ID req28069 Working Title Univ Assessment Specialist Position Grade 12 Position Summary


    Within the Provost's Office of Assessment, provides professional planning, coordination, and development for institutional assessment programs and initiatives in support of the University's accreditation goals and objectives.

    Serves as the primary point-of-contact for constituents across the University regarding day-to-day matters related to general education, academic, and co-curricular assessment, to include providing guidance and informational presentations regarding institutional assessment activities.

    Maintains digital repositories, monitors document submissions, evaluates program quality, analyzes qualitative and quantitative data, and participates in the submission of official assessment reports.

    Duties and Responsibilities


    • Plans, develops, coordinates and implements assessment activities across the institution; performs direct assessment and assessment analysis; provides technical and professional guidance, consultation, and support to departments regarding assessment, as appropriate.
    • Develops, plans, leads, and/or participates in educational, training, and outreach activities, to include program development and presentation of lectures and/or workshops.
    • Participates in the collection and analysis of various assessment data to support programmatic assessment processes and academic program reviews, including dissemination of results and assisting others with understanding and appropriately utilizing and applying them.
    • Serves as a point of contact for the University's assessment digital archive system; monitors document submissions and evaluates overall program quality.
    • Interprets assessment findings; analyzes and compiles comprehensive statistical and narrative data; assists with the preparation of official assessment reports to summarize findings.
    • Records, stores, manages, and disseminates confidential and sensitive assessment data, as appropriate.
    • Plans, develops, and implements various special projects as assigned; plans, coordinates, promotes and facilitates special events, programs, and/or activities.
    • Participates in the preparation of institutional accreditation as a representative of the Office of Assessment.
    • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned to contribute to the charge of the office.

    Conditions of Employment Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.


    Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

    Preferred Qualifications


    • Master's degree in Education, Education Specialty, Statistics, or Data/Assessment related field
    • 3 years of assessment experience, including assessment design, data collection, and data analysis
