    Director of Institutional Partnerships at Safe Horizon

    Summary:

    • The Director of Institutional Partnerships will play a crucial role in establishing new collaborations to support Safe Horizon's programs by increasing private revenue.
    • This role requires a highly motivated fundraiser with a focus on securing foundation and government grants, contributing towards Safe Horizon's mission and strategic objectives.
    • The ideal candidate should have over 7 years of experience in grant writing and institutional partnerships, demonstrating a proven track record in securing substantial grants.
    • Main responsibilities include fundraising for general operational support, cross-agency initiatives, and strategic projects to advance Safe Horizon's pay equity objectives.
    • Additionally, the Director will be involved in government procurements and work alongside a team of grant writing professionals.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Bringing innovative ideas to raise Safe Horizon's profile and establish long-term funder relationships.
    • Collaborating with the Associate Vice President to develop fundraising strategies.
    • Providing guidance to the grant writing team and supporting professional development.

    Qualifications:

    • 7+ years of fundraising experience from diverse sources.
    • Demonstrated success in securing 6-7 figure grants, particularly for operational support.
    • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to effectively convey program impact to align with funder interests.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
    • Experience in budget preparation and analysis.
    • Capability to work independently under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
    • Proficiency in data management, research, project, and relationship management.
    • Knowledge in victim services or similar fields preferred.
    • Familiarity with social justice principles and foundation donors.
    • Experience with Salesforce and MS Suite.
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
    • Supervisory or team leadership experience is a plus.
    • Ability to travel within New York City when necessary.

    Technology Requirement:

    Applicants may be required to provide their own work tools for remote work. Safe Horizon can discuss and assist with necessary solutions.

    Benefits:

    80,000.00 Salaried pay range, 35 hours per week, and full-time benefits including vacation time, paid sick leave, holidays, medical, dental, vision coverage, retirement plan, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, tuition assistance, commuter benefits, gym reimbursement, parental leave, and employee learning center.
