Koinonia Homes for Teens is seeking qualified and caring individuals to join our team to work with youth in our adolescent residential therapeutic program in our Loomis, Rocklin and Orangevale locations.
Hiring for multiple positions.The Youth Counselor opportunity includes:
$22.00 to $24.00 per hour starting wage, or higher depending upon overall qualifications. Eligible for annual pay increases. The pay scale for this position is $22.00 to $29.55 per hour.
Medical, dental, vision, chiropractic and behavioral health planPTO accrual, premium pay for working certain holidays, 401k plan and moreSupervise youth on outings, recreational activities and other vacation destinations (while getting paid)The youth counselor position supervises the youth's day-to-day activity in Koinonia's Homes for Teens residential program.
The program serves youth 8 to 18 years of age who have had early childhood trauma with mental health and/or substance abuse issues that require residential treatment.
With the assistance of coworkers, the youth counselor position provides direct supervision for up to six youth as they complete their daily program activities.
We are looking to fill the following Full-Time shifts:Sunday-Wednesday, Swing shift:
Early afternoon into late eveningWednesday
They will also have good interpersonal and communication skills; good time management and organizational skills; be reliable and dependable; work productively under minimal supervision; have a high degree of integrity and confidentiality; have a reliable means of transportation; and a schedule that is flexible to meet work requirements.
Must be at least 21 years of age (as required by state law), and have experience working with youth (including but not limited to coaching, tutoring, mentoring, daycare, volunteering or working in a school), OR a bachelor's degree, OR teaching certificate, OR Alcohol and Other Drug certification.
