Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Eligibility Specialist.

As an Eligibility Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely eligibility determinations for our clients.

This position requires knowledge of medical terminology, coding, and HIPAA regulations.

Duties:

Review and verify patient information to determine eligibility for various healthcare programs
Collect and analyze necessary documentation to support eligibility determinations
Communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to gather required information
Enter data into electronic systems accurately and efficiently
Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Stay uptodate on changes in eligibility requirements and managed care policies
Collaborate with other team members to resolve eligibility issues and ensure smooth operations

Experience:

Previous experience working in an office setting, preferably in a medical or dental office
Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD10 coding, and medical records
Knowledge of managed care programs and eligibility guidelines
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working with large volumes of data
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records systems
