Facilities Services is a unit in the Campus Operations Division, which is a part of a broad, diverse division of Administration and Finance that includes all aspects of facilities management at ECU.
ECU is the third largest university in the University of North Carolina system with approximately 28,000 full-time students and a staff of approximately 6,000.
The university is comprised of 6.2 million square feet of facilities located on 1319 acres with $1.49 billion in physical assets.
Facilities Services' primary purpose is to plan and perform corrective and preventive maintenance functions on all building structures and equipment and utility infrastructure.
Job Duties
Performs basic cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, disinfecting, and vacuuming. Fills dispensers with the correct product. Listens and responds to customers' needs promptly and respectfully. Listens to directions and completes tasks. Mixes chemicals correctly and wears personal protective equipment.
Normal work hours are 5:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. Position may require weekend, overtime, day, or evening hours.
Phone calls to the department are not necessary in order to be considered for this position.
Minimum Education/Experience
Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. Some positions may require special licenses or certification.

The ability to operate state-owned vehicles.
