Our small, busy nutrition counseling practice is looking for a front desk administrative assistant to join our close-knit team. Essential Job Functions

:

Engage patients by greeting them and offering assistance with services

:

Resolve customer complaints, help respond to customer requests in a timely manner and answer non-clinical questions to ensure a positive customer experience

:

Manage business social media accounts

:

Assist patients and clinicians with scheduling needs and maintain calendars for all clinical staff

:

-
Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to scheduled appointments. File claims with patients' insurance in a timely manner following appointments. Ensure proper reimbursement of claims

:

Manage patient financial balances, check patients out, contact patients to collect outstanding balances, help patients make financial arrangements, and manage billing and collections

:

-
Collaborate with Clinic CEO on issues that require the establishment of clinical Policies and Procedures or recommend modification to existing policies and procedures

:

Assist in developing action plans and strategies to maintain HIPAA compliance standards

:

-
Adhere to policies, procedures and protocols related to clinical medical nutrition therapy services

:

-
Participate in staff meetings and workgroups by providing constructive input for practice improvements and solutions

:

-
Keep office space organized, clean, and presentable

:

-

Minimum Qualifications/Experience

:


  • At least two (2) years of front desk or customer service experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work with an Electronic Health Record and other related E-Systems
  • An understanding of insurance reimbursement is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business administration or education preferred
  • One (1) years in a leadership role with supervisor responsibilities and/or office management experience preferred

Job Type

:

30-40 hours per week with some scheduling flexibility


Pay:
$18-$20/hour


Schedule:

  • 68 hour shift Monday-Friday
