Description
At Monoflo International, being a Mold (Tool) Technician is critical to the success of our Tooling Group. Our Tooling Group provides support to our Production Group by maintaining and servicing our injection molds.

In your role as Mold (Tool) Technician you will be using a variety of hand tools for the maintenance and repair of our existing plastic injection molds and diagnosis of water, hydraulic, and air systems.

If you are interested in growth, Monoflo provides the opportunity to develop manual machining and welding skills, as well as skills in CNC programming


What you'll do:


  • Perform preventive/predictive maintenance on all injection molds
  • Trouble shoot and perform mold repairs
  • Repair and maintain hot runner systems
  • Diagnose internal water and cooling channels
  • Diagnose air and hydraulic system functions
  • Wire heaters, core and limit switches
  • Weld and handwork any shut off or part line damage

Equipment you will get to work with:

  • Surface Grinder
  • Hand polishing
  • Dry Ice Cleaning Equipment
  • Mig and Tig welders, Micro welder for those interested in welding

Minimum Qualifications:

-
_4+ years experience working with and maintaining plastic injection molding molds (tools)_:

  • Proficient reading part prints for assembly
  • Proficient in diagnosing air and hydraulic systems
  • Satisfactory experience reading simple wiring schematics
  • Ability to weld is beneficial but not required
