Overview:
The Regional Liaison is responsible for the marketing initiatives for hospice and palliative care referrals. Fulfills agency goals by generating new business relationships and cultivating existing business relationships. Creatively integrates marketing principles and theory into practical strategies that will further the mission of The Elizabeth Hospice (TEH). Demonstrates excellence in customer service to both internal and external audiences. Displays reliability and effective communication, both in writing and public speaking.

The Elizabeth Hospice is San Diego's oldest non-profit hospice of 45 years. We are growing and looking for talented individuals to join our high performing team and support our mission. We serve all of San Diego county and south Riverside county with multiple hospice office locations.

Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Weekend Committment:
As needed for events.

Work Location:
San Diego County, CA (possible South Riverside County as needed)

Travel:

Travel is required within San Diego and South Riverside Counties for client meetings, prospective referral sources and various other business functions.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement specific marketing plan and precall plan strategies for each account. Plans are based on overall marketing strategies and approved by the supervisor.
Reports effectiveness of marketing plans to the supervisor on a weekly basis.
Responsible for meeting monthly, quarterly and annual marketing and sales benchmark. Utilizes the customer relationship management (CRM) program to record and manage contact activities and information with accounts.
Establishes, builds and nurtures relationships with various identified sources in the local and regional medical community that lead to hospice referrals. Updates accounts profile information as changes occur.
Maintains high referral source/client satisfaction thereby sustaining or increasing patient referrals across the life span (perinatal, pediatrics, and adults).
Participates in various afterhour activities and functions as approved by supervisor.
Creatively develops and implements action plans to grow existing and prospective referral base.
Utilizes marketing collateral effectively to educate and promote awareness of services and programs.
Troubleshoots real or perceived problems identified by referral sources which either, currently or potentially affect patient referrals, and effectively resolves problem issues with referral sources.
Maintains confidentiality of all business, patient and client records.
Manages monthly expenditures and provides accurate expense and credit card reconciliation reports to supervisor.
Demonstrates compliance with the policies of the agency and rules and regulations of state and federal bodies, which aid in determining policies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in related field such as, Business, Communications, Marketing or Health Care or equivalent work experience and 25 years Medical Sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Hospice or home care experience preferred.
Strong knowledge and proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook.
Current driver's license with proof of insurance required.
