Production Operations Manager


Manage a multi-functional team of production and support staff responsible for the integration, test, and installation of highly sophisticated and technologically advanced Industrial CT and X-ray Inspection Systems and various electrical, imaging and x-ray components.


  • Manage all the assembly, integration, and installation activities, for all projects assigned to this team, according to established project schedules.
  • Effectively and efficiently handle problems, conflicts, delays, or other issues that may potentially affect Production, P&L performance, or Team satisfaction.
  • Oversee inventory, shipments, and release of BOMs for procurement.
  • Review impact of all pending Engineering Change Requests upon schedule and material requirements.
  • Identify and validate new fabricators and ensure fabricators provide quality components per design and according to schedule requirements.
  • Ensure all finished goods are properly dismantled, packed, and shipped in accordance with Company and customer requirements and project schedule.
  • Oversee the building of shipping crates and pallets.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, OSHA compliant operation and facility. Responsibilities will include oversight of facility and management of all retained service providers and vendors.
  • Ensure quality and safety are of the highest priority in daytoday operations.
  • Potential travel (25%) to customer installation sites to participate in technical discussions, conduct preinstallation inspections, meet with vendors, provide oversight/guidance to install team.

Essential Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with a strong background in electro/mechanical systems.
  • Minimum three (3) years relevant operations experience, with at least two (2) years in a Management or Supervisory role.
  • US citizen or permanent resident legally authorized to work in the US and able to successfully pass a complete background check and drug test.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience working with an MRP/ERP system.
  • Ability to read schematics and mechanical design documents.
  • Must be highly organized with sound decision making skills and able to multitask in an extremely dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity working with BOMs.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and problemsolving abilities

Non-Essential Skills:

  • BSME
  • Prior experience in a highly organized, quality controlled, and procedure driven environment.
  • Familiarity with X-Ray technology
  • Prior experience manufacturing capital equipment/electromechanical systems
  • Knowledge of PLC
  • Previous experience in vendor relations and working with fabricators and subcontractors.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 ERP System

Physical & Mental Demands:

  • Regularly required to sit and use computer equipment for prolonged periods of time.
  • Will be required to sit, stand, walk, bend and work within and around systems in an office and industrial environment.
  • Potentially need to use hands to finger, handle, feel and operate hand tools, power tools, and related standard industrial production and office equipment.
  • Could be required to lift, move, carry, and/or maneuver materials up to 50 pounds alone; heavier with assistance.
  • Will need to become certified in the use of a forklift and crane and operate as needed.
  • May need to work or traverse upon ladders and/or elevated heights with proper safety gear.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Domestic and international travel via air, rail, and car.
  • Able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
