Driver - Benton Harbor, United States - The Herald Palladium

Description

The Herald Palladium has an opening for a driving position to deliver newspapers using our company vehicle to our post offices in Benton Harbor, Spring Lake and Grand Haven Michigan.

In addition, this position takes drops to locations for The Harbor Country News and South Haven Tribune delivered on Thursday and Saturday mornings starting upon return from Grand Haven at 9 am through 1 PM.

• Safely operate box truck to transport newspapers
• Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of products
• Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques
• Perform pretrip and posttrip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in proper working condition
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries

• Previous experience as a driver is preferred
• Ability to safely operate forklifts for loading and unloading purposes is a plus
• Strong knowledge of route driving and navigation skills
• Experience in moving or delivery services is beneficial

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

• Paid training

• 1 year

• Morning shift
