Machinists in Grover Beach manufacture precision components, mostly made of metal, using machining processes such as turning, milling, drilling, or grinding. They typically work with CNC-controlled machine tools or complex production systems. They set up and monitor the machining processes and also ensure the quality of the manufactured components.

Requirements

If you have technical understanding and interest in mechanical manufacturing processes, the profession of machinist is the perfect fit for you. You should also enjoy working in a team and have good technical understanding and manual dexterity. A minimum of a good secondary school diploma or high school diploma is required.

Training process

In the first few months of training, you will learn manual material processing. This will be followed by training in machine processing, such as turning, milling, etc.

You will have the opportunity to deepen and solidify your acquired knowledge through interesting project work. You will also participate in courses on pneumatics and other related topics. "Apprentice mentors" will accompany you during assignments in our specialized departments, where you will assist in troubleshooting our production equipment and gain insights into the daily work of an industrial mechanic.

Our motivated training team will of course prepare you well for the final exams.
