Responsibilities:
The Research Associate will provide academic services for the above-mentioned project. They may also conduct independent research and pursue further academic qualifications.


Specific Duties:


Intense coherent X-ray beams offer new possibilities for ab initio phasing of crystals to recover macromolecular images and information about the dynamics of these molecules.

This project aims to develop new strategies and algorithms to extract this information, which can be present in diffuse scattering, Bragg truncation from 2D crystals and nanocrystals, or through interference caused by convergent beam illumination.


The tasks of this position are to:

  • Develop and test new approaches and algorithms to utilize coherent diffraction of macromolecular crystals for structure determination
