About Learn French Brooklyn
Learn French Brooklyn is a French-language school located in the Williamsburg/Greenpoint area of Brooklyn. Classes are taught in person at our school in Brooklyn.

Our teaching method offers students exposure to modern spoken French with an emphasis on conversation enhanced by a foundation in grammar and vocabulary.

Our courses have been designed to be fun and practical and are taught by native speakers with extensive teaching experience.

We're currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced part-time French Teacher for group and private class settings


Responsibilities include:

• Implement a French course curriculum that meets Learn French Brooklyn's mission and goals
• Possess the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively teach students at the assigned levels
• Customize instruction to meet the individual needs of students
• Promote students' critical and creative thinking skills through the use of instructional methods, resources and tools
• Facilitate and maintain consistent communication with students

Requirements:

• Nativelevel French fluency
• At least 2 years of experience teaching French to adults from beginner to intermediate/advanced levels
• Experience teaching French to children a plus but not required
• Passionate about helping others learn French in a practical manner with a focus on conversationbased learning methods
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as an interest in cultivating relationships and engaging with students
• Strong knowledge of French culture (idioms, as well as literature and art, current events/trends, etc.)
• Comfortable with online and inperson lessons/classes and knowledge of online teaching platforms such as Zoom

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

and reside in the NYC area:

• Ability to work at our main school location in Brooklyn and/or travel to surrounding locations within the NYC area
• Ability to work on weekdays and/or weekends
