- Ensure strict adherence to all local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to the sale and storage of firearms and ammunition. Implement and maintain compliance protocols and training for staff members.
- Champion a customer-focused culture, ensuring that all customers receive top-notch service. Address customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations in a professional and timely manner.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to develop strategies that drive sales and revenue growth. Monitor sales performance and implement initiatives to achieve sales targets.
- Maintain a secure and safe environment for staff and customers. Implement security protocols, monitor surveillance systems, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in budget planning and control operational expenses to meet financial targets. Analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Identify training needs for staff and conduct training sessions on product knowledge, safety protocols, and customer service skills.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate favorable terms, and ensure timely product deliveries.
- Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to increase efficiency and streamline workflows.
- Proven experience in retail operations management, preferably in a gun shop or firearms-related industry.
- Thorough understanding of firearms, ammunition, and related accessories. Familiarity with federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing firearms sales and storage.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve business goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers, staff, and vendors.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure compliance and accuracy in inventory management and paperwork.
- Effective problem-solving skills to address operational challenges and resolve customer issues.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, point-of-sale software, and inventory management tools.
