_ Summary:
_ The Production Cell Lead is responsible for cell team meeting their safety, quality, productivity, and service daily objectives.


_ Essential Job Functions_:


  • Responsible to work in one of the positions of the cell while performing cell lead duties.
  • Responsible for cross training of cell staff over time to build depth of skills, rotation, back up coverage.
  • Responsible for oversight of a small group of 510 staff

Oversight includes:

  • Safety behaviors of team and work area conditions.
  • Food safety and quality compliance, including QC inspections and documentation.
  • Productivity thruputs, labor, material yields.
  • Schedule attainment.
  • Training, development, and teamwork culture.
  • Responsible for getting cell equipment and materials ready to run for the day.
  • Responsible for directing daily assignments and tasks of cell staff.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely records completion.
  • Responsible for accurate material and FG counting and record keeping.
  • Responsible for preop visual inspections and ATP swabbing tasks.
  • Frequently anticipates and solves moderate problems for self and cell staff.
  • Participates in Safety Team Meetings.
  • Preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned

_Job Requirements:
_

  • 13 years experience in food manufacturing in skilled positions.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to solve moderate problems and make recommendations for review by others.
  • Ability to make decisions based on established company policies and procedures related solely to work responsibilities.
  • Ability to decide appropriate equipment for each product.
  • Ability to operate complex machinery.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team responsible for successful completion of own and others job duties.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, including ability to translate.
  • Ability to hear.
  • Ability to train and develop staff to foster excellent teamwork, ensure most qualified personnel and produce quality products
  • Ability to see and traverse entire plant for inspections for safety and quality control
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to sit.
  • Ability to push, pull and lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to reach, feel, handle equipment
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions using hands, wrists and feet
