As the Housekeeping Houseman, you will represent the Housekeeping Department to the members and guests of Bluejack and be responsible for cleaning and maintaining designated areas of Bluejack National.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Clean designated areas including, but not limited to, restrooms, public areas, offices and outdoor pool area
  • Assist Room Attendants, as needed
  • Perform tasks including, but not limited to, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, shampooing carpets, washing windows, cleaning floors, removing and disposing of trash and emptying ashtrays
  • Greet guests in a friendly manner
  • Report maintenance deficiencies and items in need of repair, as needed
  • Stock and maintain supply rooms, as needed
  • Perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects (for example: mattress rotation, furniture moves, etc.), as needed
  • Deliver guest requests and assist in cleaning guest units, as needed
  • Maintains housekeeping carts and stocks supplies.
  • Strips soiled linen from beds
  • Complete any additional tasks as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper/ Housekeeping Manager/Supervisor.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time
  • Must have strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Must be able to repetitively lift, push, pull and carry moderate to heavy amounts of weight (including, but not limited to, linen bins, trash, carts, linen and various supplies)
  • Must be able to perform repetitive hand & arm movements, pushing and pulling and simple grasping frequently, squeezing, overhead reaching and fine manipulation occasionally

APPROXIMATE SCHEDULE AND HOURS:


  • Weekdays, weekends and Holidays. Schedule flexible as business requires.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Lifting/Pushing/Pulling/Carrying/ Bending/Kneeling

  • Should be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • This position requires an above average amount of physical labor such as bending, stooping, walking, reaching and standing. This position requires this type of activity throughout the day.
