    Job Description Summary:
    This position reports to the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor.

    The purpose of this position is to perform maintenance of Del Mar College property landscaping and grounds, minor repair to grounds equipment, and other tasks to maintain a safe and attractive environment.

    This is accomplished by maintaining lawns, trees, landscaping, and keeping grounds clear of trash and debris. Other duties include sweeping, emptying trash containers, hauling debris to land fill, insect and pest control.

    On days where daily ground work tasks cannot be performed, Groundskeeper will assist with other Physical Facilities maintenance services such as Building Maintenance and MEP/HVAC, or other duties as assigned.


    Minimum Qualifications:
    Knowledge and experience using lawn equipment to include mowers, weed eaters, trimmers, and power tools. A valid Texas drivers license with the ability to be insured by the college.


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Two years or more of full-time commercial grounds keeping experience
