- Child and Family Engagement: Build strong relationships with children and families, ensuring open communication, addressing concerns, and providing support as needed. Create opportunities for family involvement in their child's learning journey.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children and staff, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines. Implement policies and procedures for emergency preparedness, hygiene, and sanitation.
- Budget and Resource Management: Manage budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and adherence to financial goals. Coordinate with administrative staff for procurement, maintenance, and inventory management.
- Staff Development: Provide ongoing support and professional development opportunities for staff members, including training sessions, mentoring, and performance evaluations. Foster a culture of teamwork, mutual respect, and continuous learning.
- An ECE State Certificate or equivalent.
- At least an associate degree with 30 college quarter credits in relevant fields such as adult education, human development, social work, early childhood education, or psychology. These credits can be part of or in addition to the degree.
- Alternatively, a DCYF-approved credential from a comprehensive, competency-based Family/Social Service training program.
- Current pediatric CPR/first aid certificate/blood-borne certification
- Current Washington State Department of Health Food Worker Card
- Valid driver's license and insurance.
- Tested negative on the Mantoux tuberculosis (TB) skin test in the past 12 months
- MERIT Portable Background Check and able to pass annual background checks.

Position Overview:
As our ECEAP Center Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our early learning classrooms. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality care and education for children while fostering a positive and collaborative environment for staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Demonstrate knowledge of child development through professional references, education, experience, and job performance.
2. Provide written proof of education, which includes:
4. Experience in program management and supervision. Completed training in preventing, identifying, and reporting child abuse and neglect.
5. Preferred bachelor's degree in areas indicated above.
