Purpose:


Manage, plan and coordinate the implementation of flow control systems for customers in Canada, Mexico, and USA.

Dimensions of Position:

Feasibility Study
-
Assist with customer quotations.
-
Create technical reports.
-
Investigates and develops continuing product improvements based on field and manufacturing requests.
-
Investigates and provides evaluation for customer complaints.
-
Provides assistance to Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Control, Purchasing and Suppliers.
-
Ensure that all activities are performed with due regard to the health and safety standards applicable to the activity.

Project Management
  • Plan, schedule and manage resources to meet customer deadlines and technical requirements

Comply with quality management procedures and department procedures and guidelines.

Identifies opportunities for improvement and implement department process improvements.

Work in a manner which aims to ensure the health and safety of employees, contractors, visitors, customers, and any other persons affected by these activities.

Qualifications:


A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.

Eperience:


Prefer at least 5 years of experience in related manufacturing or industrial field.

Knowledge:

-
Project Management with excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
-
Working knowledge of engineering and design of mechanical and/or hydraulic equipment.
-
Knowledge of computer programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, SharePoint)
-
Knowledge of Steel making processes helpful.
-
Knowledge of Ladle and Tundish flow control systems helpful.
-
Knowledge of automated controls helpful.

Must be able to travel (Away from office up to 30% of the time).

Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

Able to work under pressure, accept change, communicate problems, and accept instruction when needed.

Must be able to work in a steel mill environment dealing with difficult situations and solving problems.

Ability to interact effectively with others, in particular with Manufacturing, Sales, Sales Regions, and Customers.

Plan, schedule and manage projects to meet deadline and technical requirements. Plans and completes work with an appropriate level of productivity. Follows procedures to assure thorough, error-free work.

Good mechanical aptitude to effectively create concepts, outlines requirements, plan projects and solve problems.

Ability to read and understand technical drawings. Knowledge of steel mill products, process, and environment.

Makes decisions on acceptability of used or nonconforming product.
-
Comfortable communicating with management, engineers, and production personnel. Communicate written and verbal expectations clearly to coworkers and customers to ensure that deadlines are met.

Ability to utilize other departments to complete or assist with various tasks and projects. Delegate responsibility to complete tasks for planned deadlines. Lead field service personnel for the installation and training of flow control equipment. Motivate vendors, coworkers and customers to complete required tasks.

Pay:
$90, $100,000.00 per year
