ALM Management LLC is a Family Wealth Management Company.

It provides a wide range of accounting, investment, administrative, real estate management and operating services for various operating companies, partnerships, high net worth individuals, and trusts.


The Staff Accounting will be instrumental in assisting Family Office Management with the accounting and financial management of all such entities / individuals by providing a wide range of accounting, administrative, operating and other tasks integral to the Family Office.

Successful achievement in this position can lead to Management oversight.


Minimum Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • 13 years of accounting experience with experience in public accounting (tax) a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; QuickBooks Desktop and Quickbooks Online
  • Detail oriented, problem solver & intellectually curious
  • Adhere to the highest level of confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently. Self-Motivated

Description of Duties and Responsibilities:


Cash Management:

  • Reconcile Investment and bank accounts to general ledger system.
  • Assist in cash modeling and projections
  • Monitor cash position and report on a monthly basis.

Accounting:

  • Review and analyze general ledger accounts on an ongoing basis to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform month end closing procedures including but not limited to the preparation and posting of necessary journal entries, reconciliation of investment accounts to capital accounts of related entities, reconcile intercompany accounts, reconciliation of mortgage and liability accounts to statements.
  • Reconcile all cash and Brokered investment accounts to the general ledger.
  • Prepare monthly / quarterly consolidated financial statements for various entities
  • Properly set up new entities in QuickBooks adhering to an organized and thoughtful chart of accounts methodology.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal management financial reports

Year End and Taxes:

  • Prepare detailed yearend work papers used in the preparations of tax return by outside tax accountants.
  • Work papers include general ledger detail and related supporting documentation and other analyses as needed.
  • Stay in constant communication with outside tax accountants to ensure all information for preparation of returns is available and that all tax projections and estimated tax payment obligations are met throughout the year.
  • Determine and make appropriate journal entries to general ledger resulting from tax return. Reconcile tax return to books.
  • Preparation of 1099s for all entities
  • Other regulatory reporting requirements as necessary (Maryland PPT, Annual filings etc.)
  • Work with outside accountants to track and monitor successful resolution of tax notices.
  • Other Duties and Special Projects as Assigned as part of a small team, the individual will be crosstrained and should have a willingness to perform a wide range of tasks as needed (simple as well as complex items) including but not limited to paying bills, issuing invoices, insurance and risk management tasks etc.

Pay:
$41, $60,000.00 per year
