Position Overview:

The Green Bay Packaging - Baird Display Division is an industry-leading manufacturer of high-quality, temporary, point of purchase displays.

Material Handler Responsibilities
Material handler responsibilities are to load and unload machines with products. Move inventory around the plant safely. Read instructions from the current job ticket. Respect and conform to all accepted safe work practices and standards. Attend ongoing in-house quality, education classes. Perform ongoing preventative maintenance and keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Set an example to coworkers by always practicing safe work habits. Assure work areas are free from hazards that could cause injury or accidents. Report any unsafe conditions to the Plant Manager.
Maintain a positive, cooperative attitude towards customers, coworkers, subordinates, and management. Support, encourage, and participate in quality improvement projects in order that department activities meet or exceed customer and company quality, service, and performance needs and expectations.
Maintain a good attendance/punctuality record.
Perform job with established standards. Offer suggestions to solve problems.
Additional duties may be assigned by management.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED.
Two years of manufacturing experience.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

REASONING ABILITY

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear.

The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The employee will be sitting for the majority of the day.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to hot and/or humid conditions.
