    We're seeking a board certified, full-time permanent hospital employed physician to join our Hematology/Oncology department at the Fresno, CA VA Medical Center Hospital.

    Our ideal candidate will enjoy a busy, academic, heavy clinical practice and be dual board certified in Hematology Oncology. We are specifically seeking someone to focus in solid tumors with GI and sarcoma/melanoma as well as hematology. Join a department that is expanding clinical area to better serve veteran patients

    The full-time HEM/ONC physician must have outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills as a member of the VA professional health care team and providing continuous veteran-centered care for a variety of medical ailments.

    Provide day-to-day care of veteran patients, both in the inpatient and outpatient settings
    ~ Assess, consult, and treat hematology and oncology patients
    ~ Serve as an expert in chemotherapy and other hematology and oncology procedures, to include bone marrow aspiration and biopsy
    ~ Work closely with other providers, nurses, pharmacist, and other disciplines for caring our veterans
    ~ Able to become a staff faculty in Hematology and Oncology at UCSF Fresno
    ~ Actively participate in training residents, fellows and other medical students that rotate at the VA
    ~ Sign chemo regimens, obtain patient consents, triage consults and follow VA policies and procedures for conduct, time and attendance and scheduling rules
    ~ Hours:
    Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm

    Expected Salary range $300,000 to $348,000 , May include up to $15,000 in Annual Performance Bonus
    *Candidate may be eligible for up to a $34,000 Sign on Bonus
    **Tax Free - May be eligible to apply for the Education Debt Reduction Program and if approved, receive up to $200k in school loan repayment Tax Free.
