- Assess, consult, and treat hematology and oncology patients.
- Serve as an expert in chemotherapy and other hematology and oncology procedures, to include bone marrow aspiration and biopsy.
- Work closely with other providers, nurses, pharmacist and other disciplines for caring our veterans.
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards meeting at the VA and other meetings at UCSF Fresno.
- Participate in research and clinical trials.
- Able to become a staff faculty in Hematology and Oncology at UCSF Fresno.
- Actively participate in training residents, fellows and other medical students that rotate at the VA.
- Sign chemo regimens, obtain patient consents, triage consults and follow VA policies and procedures for conduct, time and attendance and scheduling rules.

Description
Summary
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
Duties
**This is an OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCMENT and will remain open until September 30, 2024. Eligible applications received after that date will be accepted on an ongoing basis and qualified candidates will be considered as vacancies become available.**
