We are looking to add to our team a self-motivated individual who wants to grow and learn. The world of accounting is changing fast and we are looking for someone who is not afraid of change. Our firm is a tax consulting and compliance firm with our office in Katy, Texas.

This next person we hire needs to be diligent in their approach to project work, yet flexible to respond to needed changes in assignments.

Responsibilities and Requirements

• Manage staff in the preparation of US federal and state income tax returns, including individual, partnership, S corporation and C corporation;
• This role will require proactive learning and working with building electronic tax work papers as well as tax research;
• Assist the partners with specific special tax planning and nonrecurring projects;
• Required to be a selfstarter and willing to contribute to process improvement, and to learn new ways to use technology.

Experience

• 4+ years of current income tax compliance & accounting experience;
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Experience in Lacerte a must; knowledge of ProSeries and UltraTax a plus
• QB desktop and QBOnline

Education and Certification Requirements

• 4 year bachelor or 5 MBA accounting degree;
• CPA or CPA exam eligible is a plus.
• Enrolled Agent is a plus.
