Job Summary:

Duties:

Manage and supervise a team of dispatchers, providing guidance and support as needed
Coordinate with drivers, carriers, and customers to schedule and track shipments
Monitor the progress of shipments and address any delays or issues that arise
Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) such as AS400 or Oracle Transportation Management to optimize routing and load planning
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies
Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, including driver logs, delivery confirmations, and billing information
Collaborate with other departments such as supply chain and fleet management to streamline operations
Handle customer inquiries and resolve any complaints or issues in a professional manner
Conduct regular performance evaluations for dispatchers and provide ongoing training and development opportunities

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation management, preferably in a 3PL environment
Strong knowledge of freight operations and logistics processes
Proficient in using transportation management systems (TMS) such as AS400 or Oracle Transportation Management
Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
Familiarity with fleet management software is a plus
Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment
Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to make quick decisions

Pay:
$ $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 48 per week
