Sagamore Children's Psychiatric Center, a NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH) facility, is currently recruiting Direct Care Staff/Mental Health Therapy Aides (MHTA).
- Where: 197 Half Hollow Road, Dix Hills, NY 1174
- When: Friday 5/3 2:00pm 6:00pm & Saturday 5/4 10:00am 2:00pm
Direct Care Staff/MHTAs at Sagamore Children's Psychiatric Center are an integral part of a treatment team that helps to support patient health and safety by assisting patients with daily life skills and promoting acceptable behaviors and verbal skills.
Direct Care Staff/MHTAs at Sagamore Children's Psychiatric Center:
- Provide direct care and support to patients.
- Support patient health and safety.
- Assist patients with daily life skills like personal hygiene and nutrition.
- Encourage individuals to participate in physical and social activities.
- Accompany patients to treatment, activities, and appointments on and off facility grounds.
- Teach, model, and promote acceptable behaviors and verbal skills.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma or similar equivalency such as a General Education Development Certification or higher degree.
