For our licensing department, we are looking for a Licensing and Copyright Officer Job-ID: V Location: Cologne Start date: Field of work: Law Type of employment: Part-time In the licensing department, we negotiate contracts for the acquisition of copyright and related rights, i.e.

for program procurement for first broadcasts, repeat broadcasts, or for use on the internet. We provide advice, legal information, and ensure the sustainability of our program assets. The position is permanent and part-time (80%).

YOUR NEW TASKS You create and administer contracts for products or usage rights of WDR, especially for non-linear use on websites, the media library, and social media platforms.

This also includes the examination and processing of associated payments and, if necessary, tax assessments. You continuously adapt existing contract templates to the requirements of our program departments and legal framework.

With your expertise, you provide advice to the responsible departments in the program, especially on licensing and contractual issues, and work with various working groups with the specialist departments and the program.

You are responsible for documenting complex legal situations and are responsible for clarifying rights and providing all legal information for the area of work.

YOUR PROFILE You have a degree (ideally a Bachelor's degree, e.g. with a legal focus) or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience. You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, and are proficient in using MS Office and SAP applications. You impress with a structured, careful, and independent way of working,
