Description
Duties:
- Interpret policies, directives, regulations, and orders with higher echelon.
- Ensure family programs are in compliance with applicable legislation and statutory laws.
- Research a wide range of polices and procedures in order to improve family programs.
- Develop technical guidance for implementation.

- May require travel up to 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: analyze a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods for the improvement of family programs; develop projections and recommend strategies for meeting family program requirements; provide guidance on family program policies and procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
Education:
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

- This position is a TERM Not to Exceed 2 years position. It is timelimited and may be extended up to a maximum of eight years.
- To be eligible for conversion, employee must complete at least 2 years of current continuous service under a term appointment in the competitive service AND employee must have a current performance rating under such term appointment of at least fully successful or equivalent.
