Position Summary

Position Summary

The Metrologist Technician is responsible for ensuring all measurement and test equipment is calibrated and the calibration system is maintained in accordance with the procedures.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

Ensure all measurement and test equipment is calibrated on a timely basis. Includes performing calibrations internally and sending equipment out for calibration.
Maintain the calibration database including status, location, history and schedule of all M&TE. Also maintain files of calibration records / validation data.
Coordinates with Quality and Engineering managers to reconcile gages found to be outoftolerance.
Maintain and generate procedures related to calibration as necessary.
Sets up and operates all tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned work.
Maintain certifications of calibration vendors to assure they are in compliance with our requirements.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Highschool Diploma or equivalent; Associate or Vocational degree preferred
25 years experience. Prior exposure to an ISO quality system is a plus
