Job Summary and Qualifications:

The
OB Market Scheduler will coordinate and communicate with Perinatal Program Registrars to ensure efficient registration and scheduling operations.

You will process telephoned requests for scheduling in a prompt and timely manner utilizing a working knowledge and vocabulary of procedures scheduled.

Demonstrate the capability to deal with day-to-day changes in schedule with medical office, OB and perinatal staff. Job duties inclusive of patient registration, phones, medical records, and supplies.

  • You will crosstrain to be able to schedule high risk OB patient appointments for the Richmond Perinatal Centers.
  • You will interact with Physician and market staff/Clinical Coordinators about procedure codes, corrections and physician duration changes. Review future schedules for changes and corrections to Perinatal daily schedules.
  • Correctly utilize the scheduling features of the eCW system and accurately enter necessary information
  • Registers patients for their scheduled appointments
  • Identify correct patient account numbers/medical record numbers for registering and scheduling patient procedures.
  • Process medical records of those needing to be merged. Track monthly scheduling department statistics and review phone calls for accuracy of posted procedures.

What qualifications you will need:


  • Data entry skills and healthcare experience required.
  • Medical Terminology knowledge is also required.
  • Available to work Monday
  • Friday, 8a 4:30
  • Possess the ability to work in multiple HCA office locations including: Henrico Doctor's
  • Forest, Chippenham/Johnson Willis, Meadowbridge and Colonial Heights
