Description
We are a small consulting firm that specializes in rendering tax, accounting, and business advice to health care professionals. We are looking for a focused, detail-oriented payroll specialist to join our team full time.Main Responsibilities
- Calculate and process multi state payrolls for hourly, salaried, and contractors which includes entering, reviewing and importing hours, in accordance with Federal, State and Local laws.
- Manage the enrollment and termination processes for our clients.
- Prepare and file quarterly multistate payroll tax returns in a timely manner.
- Prepare and file annual W2s and 1099s while working with accountants to insure all information is correct.
- Assist clients with state unemployment rates.
- Maintain accurate time accruals of all employees, including but not limited to vacation, sick, and personal.
- Manage client questions/concerns on payroll matters.
Requirements:
- Two years of direct experience in these responsibilities.
- Thorough knowledge of multistate payroll and payroll taxes.
- Ability to quickly and accurately perform duties.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines within a time sensitive environment
- Must possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly computer literate.
The main software we use is Thomson client write up, QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online Payroll, QuickBooks Time, Word, Excel & Outlook.

$50, $65,000.00 per year
