Salary:
This is a full-time, 12 month position at 232 days with an annual salary range of $78,237.00 to $95, This is a grant funded position and continued employment is contingent upon grant renewal.
Job Summary (Primary Purpose):
The Administrative Specialist for The Effective Schools Framework facilitates targeted efforts around the Effective Schools Framework for both internal staff and external clients.
This position designs, develops, enhances, and delivers training and/or provides educational tools and resources pertaining to the Effective Schools Framework.
This position will also collaborate with ESC Region 13 staff members across divisions to align services to The Effective Schools Framework.
Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Education/Certificates):
- Master's Degree, required
- Teaching certificate, required
- Administrative certificate, required:
- Minimum three (3) years in campus administration or district office administration
- Minimum three (3) years' experience in coaching campus/district administrators
- Experience in developing content and delivering presentations based on adult learning strategies
- Experience with campus and district level systems
Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Education/Certificates):
- Minimum two (2) years experience training or implementing the Effective Schools Framework
- Campus/district leader of a turnaround campus/district
- Experience in working collaboratively with staff, clients, and external partners; shared decision making
Special Knowledge and Skills:
- Leadership in school improvement efforts and/or The Effective Schools Framework
- Leadership competencies in facilitation of various groups of educators to come to a consensus
- Knowledge around and experience with both state and federal accountability systems
- Proficient use of technology for workplace productivity and presentations
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
Major Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Serve as a representative of ESC Region 13, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration and discretion in all interactions with other members of the educational community and with the public;
- Work collaboratively with ESC staff to design, develop, implement, communicate, and coordinate customized support to improve student performance;
- Serve as the colead ESF Facilitator for diagnostic visits to campuses in Region 13;
- Provide professional development and technical assistance to campus and district leaders around the Effective Schools Framework;
- Serve as the lead ESF Facilitator for diagnostic visits to campuses in Region 13;
- Collaborate with ESC Region 13 staff members across divisions to align services to The Effective Schools Framework;
- Build capacity internally at ESC 13 to support jobembedded, professional development opportunities for ESC ESF Facilitators to build their own capacity in the Effective Schools Framework and the diagnostic process;
- Design, develop, enhance, and deliver trainings through multiple delivery models for internal and external stakeholders;
- Attend all meetings regarding The Effective Schools Framework and develop required reports; and attend Statewide ESC meetings and State level meetings with TEA;
- Develop required reports and meet all deadlines set by TEA and ESC Region 13 Leadership;
- Work closely with the Region 13 ESF Project Coordinator to perform all duties tied to ESF work for our region;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have any direct reports, but may provide general direction to others. There may be a need to train new staff members.
Budget Responsibilities:
- Manage local revenue tracking to ensure adequate funding to support position
- Understand grant budgeting procedures.
