Doctors of the World Germany is the German section of the international humanitarian organization Médecins du Monde/Doctors of the World.

Our mission is to ensure that all people everywhere can exercise their right to health through medical assistance and advocacy.

Our International Programs department consists of a team of six, responsible for both the financing and administrative implementation of projects within the network, as well as the management of humanitarian aid projects implemented by Doctors of the World Germany.

We are currently seeking a Program Officer for our Munich office to oversee the Ukraine country program and selected projects within the MdM/Doctors of the World network.

This full-time position (40 hours) is initially for a period of 2 years with the possibility of extension.

YOUR FUTURE RESPONSIBILITIES

In coordination with the department head, the Program Officer will be responsible for the strategic direction and management of the Ukraine country program (approximately 35 staff) as well as the implementation of selected project proposals within the Médecins du Monde/Doctors of the World network.

Your main tasks will include:

Providing technical and financial support, coordination, and monitoring of the Ukraine country program of Doctors of the World
Managing and supervising the country coordinator of Doctors of the World in Ukraine
Preparing project proposals, managing contracts, and implementing thirdparty funded projects in the areas of emergency relief and development cooperation (primarily from the Federal Foreign Office, Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, ECHO, etc.), including ensuring timely and accurate
