A hospitality advisory and asset management firm with a focus on hospitality-related income-producing real estate is seeking a business analyst for its Northern VA/Washington, D.C.
office. Our clients include hotel owners, commercial developers, operators, lenders, and government agencies.Job responsibilities include the following:
- Support senior level advisors and asset managers on a variety of hospitality projects;
- Assist in conducting market and financial research and analysis on new and existing hospitality/hotel projects;
- Prepare statistical analyses using Excel in support of various research and findings;
- Assist in the valuation of hotels and other hospitalityrelated incomeproducing real estate;
- Research and prepare written reports outlining findings of market studies and other consulting reports;
- Review and analyze hotel financial statements and operating reports against budget, competitive set and industry standards;
- Maintain data bases of statistics and financial data;
- Participate in site visits and fieldwork on projects; and
- Participate in special projects as needed.
This is an in-person position; virtual working is not available.
Job Requirements
- 4year college degree, preferably with a focus in hospitality, real estate, business finance, and/or economics;
- 3 to 4 years' experience in hotel operations management;
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and developing customized formulas to determine results;
- Ability to interpret financial data to recognize changing trends, patterns, and their meaning related to key performance indicators;
- Basic understanding of real estate valuation methodologies including ROI, IRR and discounted cash flow analysis; and
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written.

From $50,000.00 per year
