GENERAL SUMMARY


Reporting to the Continuous Improvement Manager, the Project Leader is responsible for overseeing lean manufacturing procedures, leading Kaizen events, and re-enforcing 5S programs and methodologies.


The Project Leader will also be responsible to coordinate and lead assigned projects and ensure the delivery of established objectives within define parameters (budget, schedule, quality, etc.), *ensuring that the processes are delivering their intended outputs.


PRINCIPLE DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS OF THE JOB

  • Ownership of the 5S Program in Howe and ensure continuous sustainable growth in all departments.
  • Create improvement path for all 5S teams.
  • Lead Kaizen events that will improve our process and bring savings to the company.
  • Identify cost reduction/avoidance projects throughout the facility.
  • Work with all department leaders to spread lean six sigma procedures and best practices.
  • Participate with the team at establishing the operational vision.
  • IATF 16949 requirements

EDUCATION / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's in Engineering, or any other relevant education or experience;
  • Lean Manufacturing fundamentals knowledge
  • Green Belt six sigma preferred.
  • 25 years of relevant experience in project leadership in a manufacturing environment.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent capabilities in customer relationship, leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to communicate;
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize.
  • Autonomous and sense of initiative;
  • Rigor in execution and able to demonstrate high quality work;
  • Good computer skills (MS Project, Word, Excel, Power Point).
