Description
The Radiology Supervisor oversees, assigns, schedules and evaluates staff involved in performing radiologic procedures.

Responsibilities
Supervises and assigns work to personnel engaged in performing radiologic procedures.


Participates in developing and administering department policies and procedures pertaining to work processes, rules, scheduling of employees and safety procedures.

Monitors and administers on-going Quality Control programs as set by New York State regulations. Performs quality control testing of radiologic rooms and supervises quality control of x-mats on a daily basis.

Participates in recruitment, training, development and orientation of new technical staff.

Establishes work priorities, taking into consideration factors such as patient load or malfunctioning equipment.


Prepares and maintains work schedules, adjusting schedules as necessary to take into account illness, vacation, backlog or patient examinations, etc.

Reviews employees' time cards, calculating time worked and ensuring time off is appropriately recorded. May authorize overtime work for staff on assigned shifts.

Maintains adequate level of approved supplies necessary to perform radiological procedures. May participate in evaluating quality and cost effectiveness of new or replacement of supplies.

Ensures radiologic equipment is maintained in safe, operating condition, recommending repair of equipment when necessary.

Coordinates inservice education which includes scheduling of lectures and selection of topics.


Develops and maintains cooperative working relationships with physicians and patient care departments to gather and exchange information, resolve problems and improve services provided.

May perform duties of technologists when needed to minimize workload or staffing shortage.

Qualifications
3 years experience as Radiological Tech with a minimum of one year supervisory experience.

Compensation


The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements.

The salary range for the role is $ $120000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need.

The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
