Job Responsibilities:
What you will do

Investigates and evaluates claims. Asks for guidance from more senior examiners and/or leadership for most complex claims. Incumbents have up to $10,000 reserve authority; $5,000 settlement authority and $2,500 payment authority.

  • Work with injury
  • Handle claims to conclusion.
  • Authorizes and/or approves all claims payments within the delegated authority or within the maximum limits as outlined in company policies and procedures.
  • Determines proper policy coverages and investigates, evaluates, negotiates and equitably settles all assigned claims cases in accordance with company guidelines and best claims practices.
  • Documents and establishes timely reserves and executes claims payments within the delegated authority. Provides recommended action for all claims payments beyond delegated authority.
  • Conducts settlement negotiations with claimants, policy holders and/or their attorneys.
  • Initiates and conducts followups via use of claims handling diary system and other related systems.
  • Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.

Qualifications:
What you need to bring


  • 2+ years' experience in insurance/claims required.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
  • Must be very organized and able to multitask.
  • Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work efficiently, independently or in a team.
  • Must possess strong research abilities.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Pay Range:
$43, $61,000.00 Annual
