About You
We are seeking a Spacecraft Controller to join our team at EUMETSAT in Darmstadt, Germany. This is a full-time, permanent position. We look forward to meeting you


Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for executing routine and contingency operations for our satellites, including:

  • Preparing, monitoring, and remotely controlling the spacecraft
  • Monitoring data and equipment health, following established procedures, and verifying results
  • Troubleshooting with the help of procedures and preparing reports

Qualifications

  • A university degree in a science or ITrelated discipline (such as electronics, physics, computing, programming, process control, or ground station operations) is preferred
  • Some experience with shift work is desirable, but not required

Essential skills:

  • Strong technical background
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken)
  • Ability to work autonomously and in international teams
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools
  • Collaborative and teamoriented mindset
  • Solutionoriented approach

Desirable skills:

  • Knowledge of ground segment elements (mission control systems, simulators, satellite databases, mission planning, flight dynamics, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Linux
