THE OPPORTUNITY (POSITION OVERVIEW)**The EF Coach position will work with the primary objective of improving learner outcomes by working to build teacher capacity and understanding of content standards, data driven instruction, best practices in an online environment and technology needs specific to the independent study model. The EF Coach will work with facilitators through staff wide professional development, group and individual coaching, co-planning, modeling, and observation. Through social-emotional learning, diversity, equity, and inclusion and Project-Based Learning, the EF Coach supports the vision of iLEAD California while increasing student achievement.


WHAT YOU WILL DO (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)**Build strong relationships with facilitators, leadership, and staff. Support facilitators and administrators/leadership in using data to improve instruction. Assist teachers with planning and pacing of lessons, the development of differentiated lessons, and the selection of best practices to meet the needs of their students. Informally observe (non-evaluative) lessons and provide feedback for a teacher's professional growth and students' success. Develop staff members' knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors through a variety of professional development targeted topics and designs. Utilize Adult Learning Theory to motivate adult learners to improve professional practice. Attend conferences, webinars and other professional development opportunities and bring back pertinent and relevant information to guide practices and support. Support the philosophy and vision of iLEAD California Improves teachers' ability to understand, plan and assess student progress toward meeting standards. Improves teachers' content, management and instructional strategies to better address the needs of all learners. Participates in new staff training and professional development activities for facilitators. Takes a leadership role in professional development activities. Prepares reports, maintains program files and record keeping systems for accountability. Demonstrates a working knowledge and use of instructional strategies for working with the diverse needs of students in multiple content areas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Communicating with others to exchange information. (In Person/Telephone/Computer) Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
