The person we hire will have great time-management and task management skills.

This job will require excellence in the following sorts of work:


  • Answering phones, forwarding phone calls and making calls on behalf of office employees
  • Greeting clients and visitors to our office, both by telephone and in
person, in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner (even if they don't always reciprocate)

  • Maintaining common areas and keep track of office inventory
  • Sending and receiving mail
  • Downloading, scanning and faxing of documents
  • Placing outbound phone calls to our appointments for the next day
and confirming their attendance, sometimes reminding them about any missing documents or information that they'll need to bring

  • Communicating politely, respectfully, and professionally, in a clear and concise manner, with our team members, our clients, and other
professionals

  • Assembling documents and information in ways that make it useful to others
  • Taking client payments, etc. (as needed) in an efficient and timely
manner

  • Completing other projects, as requested.


The person we hire will be very comfortable working on a computer (a Macintosh and/or Windows), using the Internet, and generally can find a way to get something done.

Some college preferred as well as prior experience in a law firm. Additional preferences would be experience in family law, criminal law and/or personal injury. Bi-lingual is a plus


Most importantly, the person we hire will approach every part of this job with an open mind and have a willingness to learn "our way" of doing things.
